Ahead Staffing is seeking a Mid-Level Android Developer to join the mobile development team for one of our Global E-Commerce clients. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining high-quality Android applications, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver new features with a focus on performance, quality, and user experience. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Implement applications using MVVM architecture and Clean Architecture principles. Integrate applications with RESTful APIs using Retrofit. Write and maintain unit tests to ensure the reliability and robustness of the application. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvements in development practices. Work within an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure high-quality software delivery. |

| Job Requirements |
Required Skills: 5+ years of proven experience in Android app development, with at least one published Android app. Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Solid understanding of MVVM architecture and Clean Architecture principles. Experience working with REST APIs and third-party libraries, especially Retrofit. Proficiency with version control tools, such as Git. Experience with unit testing frameworks and maintaining code quality. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools. Solid understanding of the mobile development lifecycle and general mobile landscape. Desired Skills: Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications. Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines. Experience with CI/CD practices and tools. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a multinational environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently. Eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies. Japanese language proficiency is a plus. |
