Ahead Group is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer (L3 or higher) to join a fast-paced, dynamic team supporting the electronic trading network infrastructure of an international investment bank. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure the reliability, stability, and optimal performance of the electronic trading network infrastructure to support business-critical operations. - Deliver and execute infrastructure-related projects, from design and implementation to testing and documentation, ensuring timely and efficient completion. - Conduct hands-on operations, including troubleshooting and resolution of network incidents, proactive performance monitoring, and capacity planning. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and enhancements to the network, ensuring alignment with business objectives. - Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, standard operating procedures, and runbooks. Required Skills: - Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS). - Proven experience providing production support within high-availability environments, preferably in financial services or trading environments. - Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting complex network issues under pressure and providing rapid resolution. - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to identify trends and proactively address potential issues. Desired Skills: - Practical experience with network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform) to streamline operations and reduce manual tasks. - Familiarity with electronic trading systems and understanding of low-latency and multicast networking technologies. - Experience with monitoring tools and network performance analysis. - Exposure to cloud networking concepts and hybrid network solutions. |
